The
Band's Mission Statement
This
mission statement sets out the whole reason for the band's existence. Without it
we need not bother!
The
Band, as an integral part of the Chelmsford Citadel Corps of The Salvation Army,
will...
-
present
itself as group of musicians wholly committed to the service of our God and
Jesus Christ through The Salvation Army.
-
enhance
praise and devotional meetings by its musical and vocal contributions.
-
be
an effective force in presenting the Good News of Jesus Christ to the people
of Chelmsford.
-
support
the work of the Commanding Officers, corps and band local officers.
-
maintain
the highest standards of performance, conduct and continue to seek to
improve in all aspects without detracting from its vital role.
-
work
towards assisting all members of the band to gain a greater understanding of
the love of God as seen through Jesus Christ.
-
provide
an opportunity for Christian musicians to seek musical fulfilment whilst
serving God through The Salvation.
The
band will strive to be seen as an important part of the public face of the
Salvation Army and will endeavour to be seen as representatives of Jesus Christ,
our Saviour, in all activities.
